Piccino is an absolute gem. The food is incredible, the cocktails are phenomenal, the service is on point, and the atmosphere is really warm and cozy. There’s nothing on the menu that won’t make you exhale deeply. And if you’re thinking olives aren’t a big deal try them I swear they must be covered in dopamine, they’re ridiculous. If you have the opportunity, I recommend sitting at the chef’s counter. Something magical about watching the kitchen staff work, building that anticipation, and then the payoff when the plate lands in front of you. Absolutely worth the trip.
Vibe at Piccino was laid back but elevated. I went for lunch on a weekday when it first opened and it was not packed when I left. It felt like a sunshine filled cafe suitable for a cup of coffee/lunch while working.
4 stars for food:
The white pizza I ordered had garlic slices and chili oil on it. Usually like white pizza because of a lighter taste than red. But the garlic slices and chili oil made the entire pizza too heavy to finish. Wish it had better balance. Dough was good though!
For the cappuccino, I felt the coffee was a bit burnt.
Great environment and would be a suitable place for group dining or a date night.
Good food (focaccia and duck were our favorites), the duck was better than the pastas IMO. Desserts weren’t worth it. Ok prices for the quality. Nice atmosphere in the dining room, but we were seated in a weird entryway by the door which was nice and private, but disruptive when people walked in and out
